Blenz is seeking an individual with a strong sense of community to join our marketing team in a full-time position. As the Blenz Community Manager, you will be responsible for building, nurturing, and interacting with our communities both in the digital and event spaces. If you enjoy bringing people together and would love to do so through our handcrafted beverages and food items, we want you on our team.

Your role as a Blenz Community Manager will be to create content, manage our social media channels, and build online and offline communities through events, partnerships, and more. You will be the face and voice of the Blenz brand, responsible for moderating online and offline conversations with our community. Excellent customer service skills, the ability to interact with people, and moderate conversations are essential for this role.

Community is not just a buzzword at Blenz; we embody it at every level of our organization. We recognize the different communities we have internally, which has elevated our service to communities externally. Blenz is in a period of renaissance, with aspects of the company and its public image evolving for the future. In this role, you can expect to:

  • Set and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies
  • Create engaging text, image, and video content for social media channels
  • Respond to all online channel comments and reviews in a timely manner
  • Organize, implement and participate in offline events (PR and promotional events to build community and boost brand awareness)
  • Build relationships with guests, potential guests, industry professionals and journalists
  • Stay up to date on digital trends, industry, competitors, and relevant topics to maintain best practices across all channels and make recommendations for any new opportunities
  • Create and manage a list of media contacts
  • Collaborate regularly with Operations and Marketing teams to ensure communications are accurate and support key initiatives
  • Liaise with external agencies or journalists to ensure accurate brand representation
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to plan and create assets to support social media strategy
  • Assist with writing/editing various copy for marketing initiatives (ad copy, website copy, news posts, promotion guides, etc.)
Your qualifications include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or any related field
  • Strong understanding of managing social media and online marketing channels
  • Demonstrate experience in community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing email newsletters or news posts)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics
  • Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics
  • Ability to form strong relationships with multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Ability to act as the face and voice of our brand online and in person
  • Ability to self-start initiatives and campaigns
  • Proven track record of creative copywriting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in using design applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and InDesign) or Canva is a bonus
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
