Surrey Blenz helps barista overcome anxiety and depression

Tinkeke Donovan has been working as a Blenz barista for just under a year, which has helped her overcome her anxiety and depression issues.

Surrey Blenz franchisee, Tony Lopes, had faith in Donovan and hired her as a Blenz barista through the Partners for Work Inclusion Program (PWIP).

Ever since, Tinkeke is managing her anxiety and depression and she says that Blenz is the best job she’s ever had. Even though she still deals with anxiety and depression, Tony is glad to report that Tinkeke remains professional and doesn’t show issues when she is helping customers.

Tony explains further, “I love her and I think the customers do too. She’s definitely one that hops off a bicycle and wants to hop straight back on.”

We are proud to have Blenz Surrey partner with PWIP!

Blenz ,
Thank you hugely for helping this person. I to have depression and sometimes show my anxiety thou panicked demanding actions. Its really great to show compassion for this person “which this world lacks mostly” . As a former field network install technician for Tim Horton’s I saw first hand seeing a young worker break down under the pressure of found the drive through. Hope this program is a success for current and future workers.
